Yesterday I finished 1984. I think that the most remarkeble thing was that The Party managed to destroy the love between Winston and Julia. Before, I thought that "nothing (a third part) in the world can conquer/destroy the love between two who really love eachother". And so Winston and Julia also thought - "they can't get inside your mind" Julia said.

But the book somehow proved that love can be defeated.
It's easy to just say that "I would die for the love of my life", BUT when you are in the situation that Winston was in (the rats) - then what? If someone was just about to bury me alive, would I really "die for my love" then?

Sad but true.

What do you guys think?
Is love really the strongest power on earth, or is nobody worth dying for?
