"there are people who believe in true love and people who don't"

I believe in true love, and I DID believe that nothing (a third part - in this case The Party) could stop the love between two. But now after I have read 1984, I'm starting to doubt that nothing can stop love.

"is the love between a man and a women the same between a father/mother with their children or other family members?"

No, I don't think so, cause you're not attracted to your family members. It's a differnt between "friendish love" and "romantic-love".
But love is love, in the end.

I know that this is a terrible question, but if you were in Room 101 and O'Brian told you that you had one option - to be buried alive or that your parents would be buried alive. What would you do? It may be easy to NOW say that "I would die for them" but when you actually are in that horrible situation - I'm not sure what I would have done.

In the end, everybody may put theirself in the first room. It's nothing wrong with that, but if I would have married a girl I loved - I would somehow liked to know that she wouldn't do as Winston did to Julia.
