compared to his other early novels, the clergyman's daughter is probably the least popular, even though i think it's a brilliant novel. I am guessing that the reason for it being so unloved by orwell readers is that it is his only non-political novel, seeing as the main focus of the book is religion.The typical person who reads orwell these day's would be offended by a serious discussion about religion and faith. Am I right?
