Personally i wouldn't take the assumption that a revolution is intended to safeguard a dictatorship (the common rightest view on the question) or the dictatorship is to safeguard the revolution (an odd assertion that is generally made by various leftists who don't understand the given accusation). Yes, they would assert, there is a dictatorship, but that of the proletariat. Many leftists may be often correct in their analyses, but correctness is not something easily debated, anyhow. Persecution may be for persecution, it is seen everywhere and is often superfluous, but again it is cause for speculation. The point I meant origianlly is that the stereotypification of communism or revolutionrarely gets one somewhere and bastardizes the facts, should there be any.
