NATO-warfare against serbia: the reason for the war was a "humanitarian tragedy", but dead civilians are at the same time regarded as "collateral damage". So, human life is important and unimportant, stressed and forgotten at the same time.

example for "reality control": killings of palestinian terrorists:
1. reason: part of a "prolonged campaign to end the violence"
2. reason: concrete self defense, "we had to kill them, before they could reach the border"
3. reason: "those were the guys who planned it all, so it is justified"

=> forgotten contradiction, not wanting to see reality (Peres doesn't want to call it "liquidation", whatever ones own position might be towards it, these _are_ liquidations)
