1984 the way of the future winston can't believe that the thought police caought him and julia. Though this was inevitable. I can see the contrast from winston's life being whatched by the telescreen and the contacts winston makes in the prison. the threat of going to room 101 in this place can it be real or is it just a fictiocious place where their taken to be tortured or re-programed. Winston is'nt sure how much time has passed and many people come and then leave his holding cell.
In wintson's cell he is restricted from doing anything. This includes putting his hands into his pockets or covering his face. When winston finds the book he is surprised it is about how the party plans to take over the other super states but this can't happen because they are always at constant war, but equally powerful. Julia also catches winston off gaurd by telling the thought police everything he has done. This made the party angery and they decided to hold him for it. They have an interesting way of bringing in his friends and then taking them out of the same cell after they try and communicate. "What is going on Winston," thinks to himself. He has no concept of how long he has been there and asn't had anything to eat since before he left. Not until later in the novel was winston caught and intensivly interogated. the findings oline is very limited to what can be found for the novel "1984."
