I believe it's referring to the somewhat misognistic view held by Orwell who regard females as essentially and fatally flawed creatures, despite their manifest glories such as round breasts and suchlike.
Examining Julia, she is merely a promninscious girl largely void of Winston's sharp and despairing intellect, who loves her merely for being a vessel for his carnal needs.
Taken at the most basic level, his heroine in 1984 is a dim and horny girl and that's probably what the bit in the parenthesis is talking about, a 'limited view' of females.
As a side reference, you'll see his bitter mysognism come out more violently in Burmese Days.
