There is a chance that the government's sectors are using their information gathered about us is used for other purposes than just keep the peace. However there is no substantial proof of this and therefore we, especially you who is suspicious, are sitting ducks. We are at the mercy of our government everytime we go to the hospital, apply for insurance, buy a house, or give our credit card number away. Our personal privacy is shrinking, and that's a fact. HOWEVER, while I don't believe that your accusations are all wrong, I have to point out that the organisations you named are not so much potentially harmful as the private sectors and the "little brothers". Emerging technology in the fields of genetics and computers are ever more threatening and it is our GOVERNMENT'S regulation and intervention is the only thing that may save what's left of our privacy.
