if you take a look back at the histroy of wrold war 2, the british used the ministry of information to crate propaganda, double think. they had indoctrinated europe with war propaganda, its not a conspiracy if you read propaganda the art of persuasion by anthony rhodes you will see what i mean. also during wrold war tweo it was the ford car company along side GM and chrysler that built weapons for all governments dsuring the war, creating an arms monopoly on world war 2.
if you go to www.corpwatch.org and search ford you will see what i mean. orwell was a non-conformist, and the world around him a world of lies. and it is the unalterable law of life, as long as concepts like conformity and obedience exist. just as the anti-capitalist movemenht heads into its third year, it is also now, intellectual rule, even though all is free, it is intellectual rule, because those who are smart can see it before the lesser smart people. for example noam chinmsky when i started to read and listen to what he has to say on the issue it was like the smartest animal standing in front of the big barn pointing out the wrongs and hypocrisys, but still thats just me and anyway.
orwell was a non-conformist, living in a conformists world and if he had of said something unorthodox he would have been betrayed as a traitor because of the seriousbness of world war 2.
and the main idea of the book, was if a system ever becomes a tyranny you just pick up the book and ........
