Psychoanalysis? Oh, dear.
"1984" is a stark warning about what could have happened, if those eager leftists took over and build a society with all power means of a modern technology. The book is about the party who understands the sense of history, so it takes all the measures to make its power absolute, going on forever. That requires turning people into robots.
How does Freud square with all this? Being tortured by super-Gestapo is probably bad for your subconcious self but that is not what the book is about.
If you realy need to force in some psychology (not psychoanalysis - Freud is fraud), try to look for the means of the mind control: what is the purpose of newspeak: these are key words you should look up for their tru meaning: "blackwhite" "doublethink" "crimestop" "belyfeel" "duckspeak".
Read the book, forget about metaphors. It is about a society that would make Stalin and Hitler envious.
