There are some parallels between the novel "1984" and the Internet song. In
the book the text is about propaganda against the oceanian people. Also the
Internet today is a great advertising. You can't visit any Internet sites
without being confronted with many huge coloured advertisings. So people are also
controled in the Internet. The novel tells about a political system where
one party rules and the people are strongly controled by the state. In the
Internet song everyone could find all things about a topic or perhaps even about
persons. In the novel "1984" there are bad living conditions and the people
are frightened because of the war and bombs falling down the sky. The Internet
song also speaks about frightened people but they're afraid of some things
concerning the Internet or the computer.
